The Cync Software Suite is hosted within a virtual private cloud on Amazon Web Services (AWS) which is a secure, highly customizable and fully auditable infrastructure. AWS is the leading deployment platform for ondemand computing resources with an extensive toolset that exemplifies a stable and robust infrastructure for Cync. AWS’ ability to provide Cync with an elastic computing environment, along with world-class sustainability, allows Cync to meet the ever-growing demands of our clients. Amazon's platform is consistently monitored 24/7 using advanced monitoring tools to ensure that both ingress and egress traffic flow is optimized and secure. This monitoring capability allows Cync to monitor the Cync environment for small incidental incursions, as well as deliberate malicious attacks and to take countermeasures to avoid disruption of the environment and maintain a level of operability and security.
Cync uses the AWS RDS MySQL for our database. Each Cync client is assigned its own application environment consisting of a solely dedicated database. Access control to this data is controlled individually by each client's application environment. The RDS is hosted in a private subnet with read replica on a different region. In the event of region failure, the read replica is promoted as the master.
The Cync Platform utilizes an SSL-enabled site capable of providing up to a 256-bit encrypted secure connection using an AES algorithm and a 2048-bit RSA key. An SSL certificate, issued by a leading industry provider, secures the connection between the user’s browser and the Cync application and all data passing between it.
When using the file upload process within the Cync application, documents are securely transferred to the application by way of HTTP-over-SSL. The same level of encryption and security mentioned above is utilized during any file upload process to ensure the strongest possible protection of documents and data.
